Be breast aware: 12 Self-examination tips

13:30 16 October in Breast Cancer

In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we are sharing our Titillating Tuesday calendar with 12 tips on how to examine your breasts. Print it out and stick it on your bathroom door as a monthly reminder.

Start by examining yourself every single month. This way you will get to know the size, shape and feel of your breasts. Any change in your breasts – a possible sign of breast cancer – will be easier to detect.

The best time for self-examination is one week after you’ve had your period. If this no longer applies, do it on the same day of every month.
