Prestigious APRASSA worskhop returns to Somerset Surgery

On Thursday 22 March 2018, local and international plastic surgeons will return to Somerset Surgery for a pre-congress workshop hosted by the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Southern Africa (APRASSA).
APRASSA represents over 98% of registered plastic surgeons in South Africa. Throughout the year, the association provides training opportunities for its members to ensure they maintain their high standards of patient care and ethical behaviour.
For the second year running, Somerset Surgery is the facility of choice for the workshop that includes two live demonstrations by acclaimed plastic surgeons.
Latest developments in non-surgical techniques
- Cosmetic surgery techniques continue to improve every year with the release of new products and technology. The APRASSA workshop will introduce attendees to the latest developments in non-surgical treatments.
- Dr Vakis Kontoes, an ISAPS professor and plastic surgeon with a private practice in Athens, will demonstrate the latest threadlifting technique for the neck and eyebrows.
- Dr Vivian Jandera, a plastic surgeon with a private practice in Pretoria, will perform a phenol peel with Dr Jonathan Toogood. Phenol peels penetrate the skin deeper than AHA or TCA peels to address coarse wrinkles, acne scars and blotchiness.
It is our great pleasure to welcome APRASSA and its members.
Please note that this workshop is by invitation only.
