The Naked Truth
Q: My breasts aren’t as perky as they used to be. Is there anything I can do to slow down the sagging?
A: Unfortunately there is not much you can do. Breasts contain no muscles, therefore you can’t really exercise your way to a perkier chest. If you’re happy with your breast size in a bra, but are concerned about them looking deflated and saggy, consult your plastic surgeon. A breast lift, or mastopexy, could be a viable option. It’s a surgical procedure that repositions your breast tissue on your chest wall. No prostheses (implants) are used. If you exercise, it is worth investing in a proper and well-fitted sports bra to prevent premature drooping. Go for a professional fitting every six months (at least), whenever you experience hormonal changes or gain or lose weight.
